Can I represent myself?

Yes, you can represent in court but I wouldn’t recommend it. When you’re facing a criminal charge there is a lot at stake - your freedom, your family, your finances, and your reputation. The legal system is very complicated and has a series of procedures that must be followed. You’re already under a ton of stress from your arrest, and the last thing you need is to have to learn the legal system overnight to defend yourself.

Experienced criminal attorneys work in the this system every day. They know the ins and outs of the court system, and the best defenses to preserve your rights, and most importantly, your freedom. My firm has over 30 years of experience successfully navigating criminal cases on behalf of Maryland residents. We live and breathe criminal law and are in an excellent position to help you.
